Best Foundation – I have tried a TON of foundation over the years. A little background: I am in my mid-30’s (so some wrinkles/fine lines), I have dry skin year round, and I have rosacea (just discoloration, no textured irritation). I struggle to find a foundation with the coverage I desire, but is also comfortable to wear all day at the same time. I have spent an obscene amount of money over the years on foundations (high-end and drugstore), only to find they don’t reach my expectations. I saw this new foundation come out a couple of months ago and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! I can’t say enough good things about this foundation. This gives me full coverage, can be layered to my liking depending on the day (some days I like my makeup to have a lighter coverage, others, I want medium-full coverage). This is medium-full coverage, but isn’t heavy or cakey on my dry skin. I still feel like my skin is able to breathe when I’m wearing this. It also lasts all day without wearing away! The only negative is that there isn’t a pump, but I can deal with that considering how great of a product it is! For color reference — I am fair with very pink undertones. I got the shade 120 Cool Bisque. Other brand/shade references: Revlon Candid — 120 Buff; Neutrogena Hydro Boost Tint– 20 Natural Ivory; Bareminerals — 01 Fair; Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation — LW2.

Oil control – I was using No7 matte foundation and they quit making it. At 64, I still have a very oily T-zone. Ordered a couple of different ones after reading many reviews. This is my favorite so far. It’s medium coverage that’s buildable. Stays all day without any touch ups. I have found that using a matte finishing spray helps with all of them. And it’s half the price as the No7.

Great product for oily skin! – I have lived for 5 decades with oily skin. Acne was an issue as a teen and continues to be an issue for me even now, on occasion. It is so frustrating, especially in summer, when the warmth makes your makeup run and makes you look shiny and greasy. Since Covid, I had taken to not wearing any makeup at all, but now that things are returning to normal, at least a bit, I have wanted to return to wearing some makeup. I tried my old standby, Neutrogena. It didn’t do the job anymore. If anything, it actually made me break out. So, I turned to Almay and hoped for the best and I have not been disappointed. This matte appearance works so well with my skin and it lasts all day. I only need a small bit for it to cover scars nicely and even out my skin tone. If you have trouble with shine and have sensitive skin, this just might work for you, too. Thanks, Almay!

100 Is Too Dark For Ultra Fair Skin – This is a good foundation, it has a natural, pretty finish, medium buildable coverage and lasts all day. I’m giving it a five star rating because it’s a good product, it just doesn’t work for me. The lightest shade 100 is too deep for the fairest of people. I have to mix it with a white mixer to make it work.

Blends in perfectly with my skin color. – I purchased this Almay Foundation as our local grocery store had opted to no longer carry it. I loved it and it blended perfectly with my skin color.
