Good coverage but no SPF protection – I have been using O Hui cushion foundation and love it. I came across this pretty design and tried it. It’s cheaper and have decent coverage. The O Hui pad can fit into the Catkin case. No problem at all. To compare these two products: what I like about O Hui is obvious: it’s SPF protection, this is so important for outdoor wearing. On the other hand, the Catkin case is pretty (and less bulky) that you want to have it in your purse. In terms of texture, both are just fine for me. Whether it blends well largely depends on your skin type. I would say if you apply sunscreen as a first layer, wait for it to be completely dry before you put on the cushion foundation.

BUY THIS! – I have really hard to cover rosey cheeks, and I struggle to find makeup that feels lightweight on my skin but also has full coverage- this covered my redness, did not show any texture or lines! Also it came with two extra compacts! The packaging was beautiful, this product is a MUST!

Beautiful! – I admit, I bought this for the beautiful packaging, but didn’t know it would give me beautiful skin too! Coverage is light but enough to even out skin color and add a glow. The effect it gives is that I just have a very good skin, not because of wearing foundation. It is also lightweight.

I was so impressed with the first compact I purchased: the elegant packaging & the quality of the makeup, & the value in getting an extra refill. This product is the same, & an even better value! The charm & sophistication of the containers alone –little pieces of artwork that resemble Cloisonne-style jewelry– a joy to look at, hold, & display! (They don’t read “cheap” at all; very substantial.) More importantly, the makeup contained inside is truly remarkable. Beneficial ingredients as treatment for your skin (more like a BB or CC cream), extremely light, goes on smooth, feels like “nothing,” & actually provides some coverage of any of your minor imperfections. (If you have any major discolourations, undereye darkness, etc. you’re still going to need a concealer & setting powder; but otherwise, this makeup provides a light & fresh natural look.) And THIS set comes with TWO foil-sealed for freshness refills! Do the math, & you’ll see the value for the money. An unfortunate aspect is that this makeup comes in only two shades (both of which are very light-toned; I, as a 60-something Caucasian, can wear both, with scant noticeable difference); many MANY people of different skin shades are shut-out from enjoying this lovely formula makeup. Catkin really might have something, if they considered expanding the spectrum of shades!
