Lives up to it’s claims – I’m so OVER leaving product reviews but having read other reviews on this pencil I feel I need to. Due to my age I find transfer of eye pencils is an issue. The skin of my eyelids is looser now and eye pencil seems to transfer to above my lash line when I look down. Not only does this pencil NOT do that-it stays on all day. With regard to people that seem to have an issue sharpening it, After reading the reviews I bought both the Michael Marcus bullet shaped sharpener and the L’Oreal one. I just tried to use the Michael Marcus one and it worked perfectly well. I don’t know if you can get a sharp point on the pencil, I won’t try because I don’t want a sharp point anyway. I did not have to put the pencil in the freezer either to sharpen it. Hands down the best eye pencil I have ever used-and I’ve tried quite a few.

This is the best eyeliner for older clients. Looks soft and natural. Taupe is best . – I don’t like how it does smudge when you first apply until it dries and sets. Then it’s perfect!

Ruined my sharpener and pencil breaks – At first my daughter liked how this was easy to apply (soft), although her control of the thickness and tapering off was difficult due to how thick it was. It’s been about a week of use and she said it was out. I thought I got her the mechanical kind, but it’s not and it didn’t look like you could sharpen it. I couldn’t find a cheap sharpener that I wouldn’t mind getting messy, so I used an artist sharpener. Not good. Every time the seriously soft core broke off and got stuck inside. I had to pry it out eventually and mush it on the top of the pencil with my fingers. The sharp edges will probably scratch her if she presses too hard which she can do because she has fine motor problems. Regardless getting a nice taper is unlikely with this because it’s too soft. I intended to get the mechanical one initially and ordered this by mistake, so I’ll order that now. The pics of my sharpener are after using a toothpick with a tiny cotton tip, then a tooth pick with a wet makeup wipe. My daughter was laughing with her habilitation worker about how the pencil is sooo waterproof and smudge proof, it doesn’t come off of anything you put it on. She said it’s a cheek liner, a wrist liner… (my daughter is 24)

Creamy or too creamy – I purchased eyeliner pencils from both lines: the Loreal Infallible Prolast and the Loreal Infallible Neverfail. They both have very good reviews. This review is for the Prolast. For anyone who wants a short version then I tried only the Prolast, and it got everything that I need so I decided to return the Neverfail (new-unopened).

Love the quality and color – hate the barrel – I love the quality and ease of application. The color lasts all day and doesn’t smudge. However, and maybe it’s user error, but when I need to sharpen it, it’s very unwieldy to sharpen. The barrel is made of plastic and is very sharp. My sharpener does not do a very good job and I lose alot of product trying to get some kind of point.
