Perfect for light lashes – I just know this product would’ve been perfect for someone with lighter lashes, I guess I underestimated how dark my lashes are because the color was lighter than mine and so it has the opposite effect of what I wanted.

Black Voluminous has a buddy! – I have been using this mascara since I was 14. I love it in carbon black & I love it with the white primer underneath. When they came out with the Deep Burgundy shade, I found more to love. I have blue eyes and blonde hair, so this is a great daytime alternative to the black. I have also had good results layering it. Put two coats of this on & add one coat of black, concentrating on the outside corners. Very sassy.

Not what I expected – I was thinking this would be a dark burgundy, however it comes out a much lighter color.

Great color for redheads! – I am a senior citizen with pale skin who colors her hair close to what nature originally gave me (red). I felt that the black and black-brown mascaras that seemingly permeate the market we’re looking too harsh for me at this stage, so I searched mascaras for redheads and decided to start with this one due to its widespread availability and low price point. The Burgundy color is perfect for me; makes my eyes stand out without looking so stark. The brush delivers it pretty well and I can apply a second coat if needed without it looking too thick and fakey. The downside is this is not even water resistant and I cannot find this color in L’Oreal’s waterproof mascara offerings. Will have to keep searching for one for the occasions when I really need waterproof.
